Purchase & Policy Agreement
Please Read Before Purchasing
Thank you for choosing Up In The Airy Farm! We’re a small family-run operation passionate about raising and exhibiting high-quality poultry and livestock. Before purchasing from us, please review the following terms and policies to ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone.
By completing a purchase with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below. We recommend taking a photo or screenshot of this page for your records.
General Sale Policy
- All birds are sold “as is.” We do our best to provide honest, clear information about every bird we sell—from pet quality to potential show quality. We sell only happy and healthy birds that meet our farm’s high standard of care and health.
- No bird is perfect. While we breed toward the Standard of Perfection (SOP), every bird is unique. We invite and encourage you to ask questions or express any concerns prior to purchase.
- All sales are final. Once a bird leaves our property, it cannot be returned under any circumstance.
- We are NPIP Certified. For bio security and safety reasons we can not allow any birds back onto our property once they have left the farm.
Health & Vaccinations
- Birds are sold in healthy condition to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.
- We vaccinate for Mycoplasma Genitalium only.
- We breed for health, vigor, temperament, and adherence to the Standard of Perfection.
- We do not guarantee long-term health once a bird is in a new environment or exposed to other flocks.
- NPIP Certified Testing. We are PT tested at least biannually and Avian Influenza tested a minimum of 3 times per year, some years over double that.
Wing Bands & Identification
- Some of our birds come with wing bands for identification. This is to identify and track our lines and bird sales. You are welcome to remove the band; however:
- If a wing band is removed or tampered with, all guarantees or remediation options become void.

DNA Sexing & Guarantees
- Unless otherwise noted, birds are not DNA tested, and sold as "straight run" meaning they are the sex they are at hatch and it is unknown until they grow up.
- If you purchase a DNA sexed bird, documentation will be provided as proof. If a bird is sold as a female and is a male, proper proof needs to be submitted for a refund of 75% of the purchase price OR a replacement will be arranged.
- We do not offer sex guarantees on untested birds. "suspected pullet/cockerel" is just a guess, and not a guarantee. No refunds or exchanges - no exceptions.
Our Commitment
My name is Marcella, and together with my daughters Olivia (12) and Delilah (10), we work year-round to hatch, raise, and show poultry to the best of our ability as a 4-H family. We are not a hatchery—we are breeders focused on improvement and excellence. That means we often have pet quality to show birds available due to our ongoing hatching and selection process.

Final Notes
- We do not offer replacements or refunds for birds that pass away in your care.
- By purchasing, you agree that you have inspected or accepted the bird(s) as they are.
